In this 90-minute workshop, participants will gain tools for vocal ease, warmth, and
musicality through Lessac Kinesensics (LK). LK is a somatic and consent-based
approach to voice, movement, and communication. It honors the personal uniqueness
of each participant while empowering them with the tools for dynamic speech that feels
good both inside and out. Through vocal and physical play, participants will learn the
basics of the Lessac Vocal NRGs (energies). We will explore Structural NRG to shape
sound/emotion and levels of communication, Tonal NRG to cultivate vocal strength
without strain, and Consonant NRG to enliven speech with musicality. No experience
necessary, just a willingness to enjoy carefree vocal and physical explorations.
Great for actors and directors, dancers and choreographers, and theatre and dance teachers!
