Teaching asks us to be present for others every day, but how can we care for the system that makes presence possible?

Through discussion, embodied practices, and opportunities for self-reflection, we will explore how the nervous system shapes our experiences as educators and influences the ways we teach, connect, and respond to everyday challenges.

Together, we will consider how greater awareness of the nervous system can invite a different relationship with ourselves, creating space for more intentional choice in both our personal lives and teaching practice.

***LIABILITY WAIVER***

This release form must be reviewed prior to attending classes from Momentum Stage:

1. Assumption of Risk: I voluntarily assume and accept all risks and potential hazards involved in the movement training and related activities provided by Momentum Stage. I understand that I am strongly advised to obtain comprehensive medical insurance prior to engaging in this activity.

2. Release: In consideration of the opportunity afforded me to participate in the movement training offered by Momentum Stage, I am waiving the right to file any claim or lawsuit against Momentum, its employees, members, officers, directors, agents or representatives for injury or damage resulting from my participation in this movement training or all related activities, including but not limited to: damage to home or facility and equipment; supervision, including negligence or acts of omission by Momentum, its employees, members, officers, directors, agents or representatives.

3. Knowing Voluntary Execution: I have carefully read this agreement and fully understand its contents. I am aware that this is a release of liability and a promise to not sue Momentum or its employees, members, officers, directors, agents or representatives and that I complete registration of my own free will. I understand that Momentum has the right to refuse services at any time.

4. Sales: I understand that the purchase is non-refundable.

5. Integrated Agreement: This Liability agreement supersedes and replaces all previous agreements between parties concerning this event, whether written or oral.

Falon Baltzell is a somatic movement educator, Certified Evans Teacher (CET), and researcher fascinated by how embodied awareness influences nervous system regulation, learning, and human development. She serves as a pedagogy mentor for Certified Evans Teacher candidates, supporting their investigation of the Evans Method and embodied approaches to teaching. Falon holds an MFA in Dance, specializing in Performance & Choreography, and a BFA in Dance Education. Her work has included serving as Artistic Director for The Wooden Floor, Director of Upper School Dance at Hathaway Brown School, and guest artist with communities, universities, and K–12 schools nationally and internationally. She currently works with children and families in Phoenix, where she integrates somatic movement and nervous system-informed practices to support development, coordination, emotional resilience, and everyday learning.
